From: To: Description of Operations
12:00 AM 12:15 AM Tripping in hole. Went to 132'. Found no solid cement, only cement water. Checked sample left by Universal, and found it had not set. Found fluid at level of open mine, indicating no fluid loss. Kept sample of cement water from flow line.
12:15AM 1:15 AM Discussed matter with Universal (Scotty Nicholson). Decided to add calcium and try again. Universal will analyze cement sample and cement water.
1:15 AM 8:00 AM Waited on Universal to deliver and pump 100 sx of cement. Found samples from two previous cement jobs, and cement had not properly set. Cement that was delivered was from the same batch. Sent that cement back, and ordered (Class A) cement from a different batch with no gel. Tested water in tanks, and found water chemistry and Ph acceptable. Cemented casing with 100 sx of Class A cement with 400# of calcium and no gel. Found top of cement with wireline at 100'. Job finished at 8:00 AM. (Note: It was later determined that the cement mixed with gel used on the first two jobs did not set because of a problem with the gel at very low temperatures. There was not a cement problem. Rather a problem with the gel keeping the cement from setting at the lower temperatures.)
8:00 AM 2:30 PM Waiting on cement. Went to Superior's shop to examine cement samples and discuss cementing problems.
2:30 PM 3:15 PM Tagged cement at 105' with Superior wireline.
3:15 PM 6:45 PM Nippled up on 11 3/4 casing, tripped in 3 drill collars, picked up kelly, found cement at 105'. Begin drilling cement. Drilled cement until 152'. Broke out of cement. Continued tripping drill pipe and collars into hole at 511'.
6:45 PM 12:00 AM Drill 10 5/8" hole with tri-cone bit. Rig was 672', dusting, drilling 50 minutes per kelly, at 10:30 PM.

10:00 AM 11:30 AM Tried to circulate hole, gather data. Decided to cement casing again.
11:30 AM 2:30 PM Trip out of hole, wait on cementers (Universal). Loaded hole. Ran in with wooden block on wireline. Found fluid level at 100', same depth as mine void. Preparing to cement.
2:30 PM 3:30 PM Mixed cement. Pumped 70 sx of Class A cement to balance. Found top of cement at 100' at 3:15. Checked again at 3:30, found top at 100'
3:30 PM 10:30 PM Wait on cement.
