Cement that was delivered was from the same batch. Sent that cement back, and ordered (Class A) cement from a different batch with no gel. Tested water in tanks, and found water chemistry and Ph acceptable. Cemented casing with 100 sx of Class A cement with 400# of calcium and no gel. Found top of cement with wireline at 100'. Job finished at 8:00 AM. (Note: It was later determined that the cement mixed with gel used on the first two jobs did not set because of a problem with the gel at very low temperatures. There was not a cement problem. Rather a problem with the gel keeping the cement from setting at the lower temperatures.) |
